Using
Evergreen, compact, rounded habit is perfect for edging pathways, borders and herb gardens. Plant in mass for a colourful, drought tolerant ground cover or may be pruned to form a low hedge.
The perfume industry extracts oils from the plants for use in making perfumes. A few stems in chests of drawers and closest can works like effective repellent on moth.
Botanical charakteristic
Santolina rosmarinifolia 'Lemon Fizz' (Cotton lavender 'Lemon Fizz') is a compact perennial, evergreen rounded shrub. It can reach a height of 0.5m and a spread of 1m after 5-10 years. Foliage is ever-green in all seasons. Bright lemon-yellow flowers like pinhead are borne in summer above the aromatic. Stem is tall about 0,5m.
Why to have the plant in your garden:
The santolina is plant with many uses, but their simple use as attractive, undemanding landscape plants that are easy to care for and have few pests. That alone is sufficient reason to include them to your garden.
On the other hand, well dried flowers can provide decoration for wreaths or for the other crafts.
